Session Three
What is the Further Education environment?
This session builds on the previous session by helping Industry Associates understand the provider setting as a learning environment. Through a campus tour and reflection activities, Industry Associates explore the spaces, facilities, and wider student experience that shape learning in FE. The session also introduces adaptive teaching and different ways of presenting information, helping Industry Associates think about how they may respond to different students and contexts.
Industry Associates will:
- Become familiar with the provider facilities and learning spaces relevant to their area.
- Reflect on how the physical and social environment shapes students’ learning.
- Understand how Industry Associates fit into the wider FE setting.
- Consider how information can be presented in different ways to support inclusion and learning.
- Begin thinking about a short learning activity or session they may develop later in the programme.
